Gelding Gold Wing Check, with Esa Holopainen at the reins, won clearly the Jukola relay horse race start Thursday evening. It was also the last horse race for two weeks on the race track because during that period it will operate as a competition centre for the Jukola orienteering event. 

Gold Wing Check, a 4-year old gelding and also the race favourite, led the race from start to finish. After the first kilometer he left behind his most dangerous contestants Cheenawan and Mantel. Because it had been raining the whole day, the times in the race were not that good.

The prizes of the Jukola relay race start were handed out by competition leader Juhani Sihvonen and IT-manager Hannu Seppänen together with chief executive Tuula Pihkala. The next races on the Mikkeli race track will be held on Thursday the 18^th  June after the orienteering event.
