Swedish team, Ulricehamns OK is used to win Venla relay. This years victory was already the fourth for the team. There was still also beginners in team.

Ida Bobach, who run the first leg was in Ulricehamn team for the first time. She is only 17 years old.

After the competition she wasn’t able to stop smiling. She was very pleased with her run.

“I run almost perfectly”, said Bobach happily in the 15 th position.

Maja Alm, who run the second leg in Ulricehamn team was in fourth position. 20 years old Alm didn’t spot the control points as well as Bobach. Alm told that she was nervous at the beginning and made some mistakes. The rest of the leg went well.

Jenny Johansson, 32, from the Ulricehamn team took the lead on third leg. She caught the others immediately at the beginning at her leg.

Johansson was pleased with her competition. “I made mistakes only for 20 seconds time. The run was almost perfect.”

The anchor Simone Niggli, 34, told that she made a small mistake at the sixth control point. After all, she stayed calm and took the team first to the finish. After the competition Niggli pointed out the mental requirements of the anchor.

She wasn’t sure about the victory until she saw her team at the finish area.

Simone Niggli and Jenny Johansson have been running in Ulricehamn team every time when they have got the victory. Niggli has also one victory in Turun Suunnistajat.

This year team didn’t have any expectations about the competition. Competitors told still knowing that the team is good and it has possibilities to win.

To the question, why Ulricehamns OK is so good year after year, Niggli answered: We have good competitors. We are just trying to relax and enjoy the run.
