Kaisa Mäkinen and Sanna Tonteri from Kirmailija team have put all into the game and are now standing in the rain. They have together with Kirsi Ziegler and Heli Syväoja experienced their first Venla Relay.

The result was around 900. The team participated in the competition with very little training and Jukola experience.

Tonteri had a change to train orienteering about a year and Mäkinen about one month.

- everything started when my husband, who is interested in orienteering said that I could not even manage child orienteering. It was quite easy to convince my friends to joint the team, I think that we all are easily led, Tonteri laughs.

I had a change to go for orienteering three times before Venla Relay. The feeling is good, when all the controls were found.

The time for Kirmailijat team was 8.02. Target is to improve next year so that time will be below 8 hours.

- we will surely come again next year. The atmosphere is really good here, Mäkinen says after her first Venla Relay.
