Halden SK’s  lead decreased during the fourth leg. Christian Nielsen from the Swedish team IFK Göteborg managed to catch up Halden’s Erik Axelsson by two minutes. After the fourth leg Halden is 4.13 ahead of IFK Göteborg.

Halden’s Erik Axelsson told he aimed at orienteering as normal as possible, even though the terrain differed quite a lot from the typical Jukola terrain. He also told that the lead position did not make him to choose the safest routes, as he strived to do his best instead.

-    It is good to start in the lead; even though there is a lot to loose, you can still  afford to make a few mistakes, told Axelsson.

Norwegian team Kristiansand OK was third, 6.25 behind the lead, and Swedish team Orion was fourth.Kalevan rasti dropped as fifth during the fourth leg.

Pekka Itävuo is Halden's orienteer in the fifth leg.
