Enjoy both orienteering and urban services The Jukola relay of the year 2009, Mikkeli-Jukola, will be held on 13th-14th of June in the area of Karkialampi. The competition centre is located in the Mikkeli trotting race field which offers great surroundings for a massive event and its high-class services. Mikkeli-Jukola is the 61st Jukola relay and 32nd Venla relay. The Jukola relay is one of the greatest and most respected competitions of relay orienteering in the world and it will gather a huge amount of competitors and friends of orienteering in Mikkeli. Approximately 14 000 participants and altogether 30 000 visitors are expected. It is easy to come to Mikkeli-Jukola also by public transport, as the competition centre is situated less than 3 km from the bus and railway station.

The city of Mikkeli is the capital of the Province of Eastern Finland and it is situated by the Lake Saimaa. It is a lively town with the most beautiful lake scenery.
